This photo shows sampling and testing of sub-slab vapor at a site in Commerce, CA. PIC installed semi-permanent sub-slab vapor pins, which were recessed and capped to minimize impacts to the tenant. Under regulatory oversight, the vapor pins were sampled and tested multiple times utilizing Summa Canisters and Nylaflow tubing. Upon regulatory closure the pins were removed and concrete repaired. Sub-slab vapor pins allow PIC to quickly and accurately assess the vapor intrusion risk at sites and ensure the long-term health and safety of workers in the building.
