Following a Phase I Site Assessment, PIC recommended completion of a Phase II investigation at this site in Gardena, CA. The site had been used by various machine shops and automotive parts manufacturers which utilized various degreasing solvents onsite. This photo shows PIC overseeing completion of soil borings inside a warehouse building utilizing a track-mounted direct-push drill rig. The boring is located in close proximity to an existing clarifier the former tenants had installed to meet Los Angeles County Public Works stormwater requirements. PIC completed both soil and soil vapor sampling and testing at the site, finding no significant contamination and assisting the client to sell the property.

Site Investigation
This site is a large former dry-cleaning facility in Los Angeles, CA. PIC completed initial assessment and inspections at the property and quickly drafted a Work Plan for the property owner to assess possible contamination at the site prior to the tenant vacating. PIC’s investigation included sub-slab vapor sampling, soil borings, soil gas probes set at various depths below ground surface, ambient air testing and groundwater sampling. The site has been investigated to facilitate sale of the property and probable redevelopment.
